As a way to give back to the community that has been so good to us and to support some of the amazing organizations doing incredible work in our neighborhoods, the 3rd Friday of each month will be Pizza for a Cause Friday at Jesse’s Pizza. We will donate 15% of our sales for the day to a designated charity that serves our community. We hope you will join us.

JUNE 21st -- HELPING HANDS OF VEGAS VALLEY

Established in 2000, Helping Hands of Vegas Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to provide free, assistive services to senior citizens in Southern Nevada, allowing them to maintain their dignity and independence while improving health and daily living. Helping Hands offers no cost transportation, a home delivered food pantry and respite care vouchers to assist those who are caring for a senior. Visit www.hhovv.org for more information.

FOOD DRIVE

By making a contribution of canned or non-perishable food items at Jesse’s Pizza from May 24th thru June 21st, you will be assisting low-income senior citizens who often have to make the choice between eating, buying prescriptions or paying necessary bills to remain independent in their own homes. Suggested items include, but are not limited to: canned soups, canned tuna, chicken, turkey, roast beef, and Spam, canned fruits and vegetables, macaroni & cheese, pasta, canned pasta sauce, instant mashed potatoes, canned meals (ravioli, chili, stew, etc.), and boxes of cereal or individual instant oatmeal packets.

Jesse brought his family to Las Vegas in 1946. In 1950 he and his wife Edna bought the Mina Mansion and turned it into a restaurant. Nevada's former state capitol was in a city called Mina. When the capitol was moved to Carson City, the governor's mansion was relocated to Las Vegas. It was there that Jesse, Edna, and their son Jack lived upstairs, while downstairs they entertained and fed Las Vegas prominent dignitaries and Strip performers.

Having been raised in restaurants and casino kitchens, Jesse's son Jack learned from a heritage of outstanding cooks. Now Jack and his two sons bring their age-old family tradition to your neighborhood pizza shop. You and your family are welcome to enjoy the original recipes and cooking techniques that are the product of Jesse's legacy.

Our menu is filled with items made from scratch, not just our pizza. Our pizza sauce is a secret recipe, but we are willing to reveal to you, our customers, the one secret ingredient that makes our sauce so good... time. We chop, we mix, we stir... for hours. This is no canned pizza sauce like you will get with almost every other pizza out there. This pizza is the real thing.
